With refined and durable AVIANO, Christian Fischbacher has once again succeeded in uniting top quality with innovation. This time the Swiss textile design company has reverted to a rarely used elaborate technique, and has crafted AVIANO on a jacquard twister machine. After weaving, the cloth is not simply shrunk, but instead goes through a complex, multistage process to give the surface of the fabric its unique ‘cloudy’ texture and a particularly attractive glossy finish. The smoothly draping AVIANO features a restrained pattern repeat, the design of which is only visible when viewed up close. AVIANO, flame-retardant and woven in Trevira CS, is manufactured in Germany using materials sourced in Europe. The fabric is 290 cm in length and can therefore be used as floor-to-ceiling draping in a variety of different public and private spaces.
