BENU COCOON RECYCLED FR is a textile interpretation of bark. The different yarns within the melange create a surface which seems almost to have been shaped by Mother Nature. Calendering lends the floor-to-ceiling jacquard an intriguing feel. The flame-retardant yarn is made from recycled PET bottles which are collected, cleaned and compressed. They are then shredded into flakes and spun to make polyester yarn after which a flame retardant is added. This process makes the yarn inherently flame-retardant: and these properties are embedded in the molecular make-up of the fibre. All of the products in the BENU® Recycled collection are made from recycled materials and are synonymous with sustainability because they reuse resources, and reduce waste.
