Christian Fischbacher’s ÉTUDE features a traditional floral motif in a modern style. The abstract blossoms are not formed by embroidery alone. since the pattern repeat within the embroidered areas is developed as in a negative. The lines are loose and unconstrained, and appear almost hand-drawn. The embroidery is done by a multi-head embroidery machine using viscose yarn. The textile background is made from high-quality, 100% cotton satin. ÉTUDE can be worked with unlined, and has a compact feel thanks to the flat embroidery. Once again, Christian Fischbacher has interpreted classic textiles in an entirely new way to create modern versions of traditional fabric styles.
