Dreaming of Capri
Swiss textile company Fischbacher 1819 has collaborated with renowned Italian architect and interior designer Giuliano dell’Uva to present ‘Dreaming of Capri’, a capsule collection of versatile furnishing fabrics, classically designed and beautifully crafted, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The island of Capri has been a recurring source of inspiration for dell’Uva, who hails from Naples. Taking inspiration from the legendary island’s vibrant sun-washed landscape and the golden era of Capri which saw Hollywood’s rich and famous escape to the island to enjoy its natural beauty, its grand parties, and its artistic sophistication, the range of furnishing fabrics is designed to bring a touch of la dolce vita to any setting.
Featuring a considered colour palette of deep ocean blues, organic greens, and elegant ochres, the five designs feature leafy motifs seen in CAPRI FLORA with an elegant botanical print inspired by Capri’s vegetation; 60s inspired patterns such as CAPRI PALAZZO A MARE, a bold rhombus which captures the essence of the island’s vintage glamour, as well as timeless stripes and classic nautical patterns.
Ensuring the collection is ecological and sustainable, in line with Fischbacher 1819’s brand values, the capsule range by dell’Uva is crafted from hemp, a natural biodegradable, hypoallergenic, and highly durable material. Resistant to UV fading and staining, as well as naturally mould-resistant and water repellent, the fabric range is ideal for indoor and outdoor living.
