Named after a heroic figure from the Shahnameh, a powerful symbol adorns the Bejan carpet.
The symbol is arranged in a border around the carpet.
The carpet is knotted in Super Fine Gabeh quality, traditionally also known as Kashkuli. This is the finest Gabbeh knotting.
The design is inspired by a powerful historical Zoroastrian symbol from Khiva, which vertically represents the past, present and future, and horizontally depicts the winged human figure of Faravahar – a timeless symbol of consciousness and continuity.
These pieces are hand-knotted by Luri nomadic women in the province of Fars. The hand-spun sheep's wool used is dyed with dyes extracted from dye plants.
Care
To maintain your carpet's appearance and longevity, vacuum it at least once a week using a standard vacuum cleaner. Use a brush roller for deeper cleaning once or twice a year. Professional cleaning is recommended every 1–2 years.
